The Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) with CA-EBS is introduced as the new OPITO standard. With this renewed BOSIET the module LAPP/EBS is replaced by the module CA-EBS. This means that the trainee during this OPITO BOSIET will no longer be offered an EBS module. They will only practise the module CA-EBS and not the EBS.

During the OPITO BOSIET with CA-EBS training, the trainee will be introduced to the specific security matters and principles of an offshore installation. It is important to know how one can bring himself and his colleagues to safety, and gain insight in the risks that emergencies cause.

The CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) module, is important for employees who travel to the location by helicopter (Offshore installation or ship) and use the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System. Delegates must possess a valid offshore medical certificate with clearance to undertake shallow water compressed air training.
