GWO E-learning basic training courses at FMTC Safety

Our GWO E-learning basic safety courses are intended for people who work in the wind energy sector. The E-learning courses are based on a blended learning method. This means that you can do the e-learning theoretical part by yourself at your own time & place and only have to some to do the practical exercises at one of our training locations.

Global Wind Organization (GWO)

The Global Wind Organization (GWO) originated when several major players in the wind industry started a partnership. GWO makes the standard for people who work in the wind industry, both onshore and offshore. The goal is to create a safe working environment for the personnel in the wind industry.

In 2012, the GWO Basic Safety Training (GWO BST) was therefore introduced. This course allows the delegate to get acquainted with the risks and dangers when working in the wind industry. During the GWO training courses, the participant also learns how to handle risky situations.

What is a GWO basic course?

A GWO course is meant for people working in the wind industry. This course is mandatory, because without the GWO Basic Safety Training you’re not allowed to enter a wind turbine. Do you want to follow a GWO course? Then book directly the GWO Basic Safety course or one of the separate modules.

Our GWO E-learning basic courses

With our knowledge we where able to design the online GWO E-learnings by ourself. The theory part is therefore perfectly in line with practical part. This means that after completing the e-learning and the practical part the delegate have the same level of understanding the content of the course with or without the e-learning.

We offer the GWO Basic Safety Training E-learning. In this online GWO Basic Safety Training you do all the 5 modules together in just 3 days! So you save 2 days at the training center and you save extra hotel costs.

It is also possible to get the GWO certificates of the modules separately: GWO Working at Heights E-learning, GWO First Aid E-learning, GWO Fire Awareness E-learning and GWO Manual Handling E-learning.
