OPITO HOIT (7040)
The OPITO HOIT training is designed especially for offshore personnel who are to be appointed to the role of an Offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and/or Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA). The delegates acquire the initial knowledge, understanding, and skilled required to perform as an Offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA) safely and effectively.
OPITO HERTL (7042) & HERTL-F (7542)
The OPITO HERTL Training is designed for personnel that is appointed to the role of a Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL). It introduces delegates to the role of a HERTL on an offshore installation. During the training participants will lead a Helideck Response Team in simulated emergency scenarios involving real smoke and fire. Every two years this course needs to be refreshed with the HERTL-F Training.
OPITO HERTM (7041) & HERTM-F (7541)
Offshore personnel that is appointed to the role of the Helideck Response Team Member (HERTM) participate in the OPITO HERTM Training to acquire all the knowledge, understanding, and skills required to perform an Emergency Response Team Member role for offshore helideck and helicopter emergencies. This is practised with firefighting and non-firefighting emergency scenarios in a safe training environment. The certificate needs to be refreshed every two years with the HERTM-F Training.
Additional training modules
Together with the OPITO HOIT, HERTM, and HERTL accreditation, FMTC gained accreditation to provide the CAA Offshore Radio Operators Certificate of Competence Training course and the Dangerous Goods Awareness Training. These two courses are required before you can participate in the OPITO HOIT, HERTM, and HERTL training.
