The Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) with the new OPITO standard is introduced with the CA-EBS module. With the renewed OPITO HUET with CA-EBS, the module LAPP/EBS is replaced by the module CA-EBS. Thus, during this training, only the CA-EBS is practised and not the EBS module.

The OPITO HUET with CA-EBS is a standard part of the BOSIET and the FOET. During the theory section of the OPITO HUET CA-EBS the trainee is informed about the security aspects on board of a helicopter, as well as the potential hazards and emergencies that can occur during transport by helicopter. Subsequently, various emergency situations will be rehearsed in the training pool of FMTC – by means of the training helicopter.

Delegates must possess a valid offshore medical certificate with clearance to undertake shallow water compressed air training.
